RED TAPE^2.

Two years of several terrific new band additions to the Copenhagen underground are celebrated on the 25th of february when the record label Red Tape throw their birthday bash at Ungdomshuset.

Last time I saw Chainsaw Eaters they sadly suffered from some technical problems that made it necessary for them to end the concert early. Hopefully they deliver this time. A Melting Walkmen gig is hitting a dry spot as well. While I do like their new stuff, I also secretly hope they might soon get around to making some tunes closer to that catchy and retro sound that got me hooked (and dancing) in the first place.

I'm also seeing Papir for the first time and am really looking forward to checking them out!

A SCREAM IN THE DARK

Next weekend the second coming of ASintD music festival will be offering a bucket load of some of the best new and older underground bands atm over a 3-day program. Officially it's a postpunk festival, but - like last year and even more so this year - it will contain a large variaty of different genres.

I will attend friday and saturday. Friday night I will be working the bar from 00.30-05.00 am and saturday I will be twirling to Melting Walkman and Chainsaw Eaters. Also very excited to discover some rad new bands. Will be taking a MySpace tour before the festival kicks off.
